Pink Outfitters recently came out with some separates, including graphic tees and jumpsuits. I love tees and have been waiting for someone to come out with some longer sleeved ones for colder weather.  I really like the 3/4 length sleeves on this one, making my outfit season-appropriate.

I know I use the word "cute" way too much, but how can I not call this dress from Swallowtail cute?  You'd think that with all the Halloween hunts and gift giving going on, my shopping urges would be satiated. Instead, I saw this dress while doing the Albero & Cioccolata Pumpkin Festival Treasure Hunt and had to have it.  Ugh, I'm such a victim of commercialism (OK, well maybe not victim, exactly, since no one is dragging me from store to store and forcing me to buy things, but it makes me feel better to blame external forces sometimes).

Part of the fun of SL is doing things I wouldn't ordinarily do in RL. This applies not only to impossible feats, such as flying, but some of the outfits I wear as well.  Today's post isn't about that, however. You see, when I put on this new coat from DP Serendipity (also in brown), my first thought was, "I need this in RL!!!"  The new sweaters and socks (in 11 different colors) look so cozy, they had me imagining myself curled up in a chair reading a book or just being lazy. Unfortunately, I don't think Masuri Dryke, owner of DPS, has any plans to make me a RL wardrobe, so I'll just have to continue to wear and admire the one she provides me with here.

When I decided to do some posts on Halloween costumes, I immediately thought of BareRose. It's a store I really like and and where I always find at least one thing to buy.  I'll be honest, however, and admit that I don't quite understand a lot of the outfits there.  While I admire the quality and creativeness it must have taken to think up and make them, I often have no idea under what circumstance or in what situations one would wear them.  The names of these outfits don't usually provide me with any clues either.  The outfit for today's post isn't specifically a Halloween costume by BareRose standards, but it sure works for me as one.  It comes with two hat options (with or without bats), a staff (not shown) and in four colors: black, red, orange, and pink (shown below), all for 160L.

I bought this skirt a while back when Kyoot Army had its big sale. Unworn and forgotten since then, it suddenly popped into my head today when I put this sweater on.  I love the combination of textures and metallic tones in this outfit.
